Korea Startup Promotion Agency Strengthens Non-Face-to-Face Startup Support Organization
Establishment of Non-Face-to-Face Support Department and Social Value Innovation Office
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (President Kim Kwang-hyun, hereinafter referred to as Kised) announced that it will implement an organizational restructuring as of the 7th to support the non-face-to-face transition of startup companies and strengthen the pursuit of social value by the institution.
Kised plans to actively promote policies to foster promising non-face-to-face startups through the non-face-to-face service voucher support project reflected in the third supplementary budget this year. To ensure the smooth promotion of fostering promising non-face-to-face startups, Kised reorganized its existing 4 headquarters and 16 departments (divisions) into 4 headquarters and 18 departments (divisions), reflecting the addition of 31 personnel approved in the 2021 public institution manpower increase review.
This organizational restructuring aims to enhance Kised's response capabilities in the post-COVID-19 era and strengthen the pursuit of social value as a leading public institution supporting startups.
First, the newly established 'Non-face-to-face Support Department' will be responsible for ▲the non-face-to-face and digital transition of startup companies ▲supporting the establishment of innovative non-face-to-face service platforms utilizing non-face-to-face services and technologies. In particular, through the non-face-to-face service voucher support project, it plans to support the digital transition of startups and serve as a catalyst in market development and overseas expansion, gradually building a sustainable non-face-to-face service platform.
Additionally, considering Kised's social role as a public institution, the existing 'Social Value Innovation Team' has been promoted to the 'Social Value Innovation Office.' The Social Value Innovation Office is responsible for ▲realizing social value and innovation management ▲management of business performance, establishing and executing concrete strategic systems for creating the institution's social value.
