Incheon Tourism Enterprise Support Center Opens in Songdo... 17 Innovative Startups Move In
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City opened the Incheon Tourism Enterprise Support Center on the 7th to create an innovative tourism ecosystem and generate tourism jobs.
The support center, located on the 23rd floor of the IBS Tower in Songdo International City with an area of 965㎡, consists of 12 offices for resident companies, a conference room accommodating 50 people, a one-person creator studio, small meeting rooms and consulting rooms, and shared offices.
The resident companies are 17 firms selected through a public contest held from June to July, including regional innovative tourism startups, regional win-win tourism venture companies, and prospective tourism startups. Among them, nine outstanding companies will advance their business through separate commercialization funding support from the Korea Tourism Organization.
The support center plans to actively carry out various projects and educational programs to foster the local tourism industry ecosystem, such as the Tourism Startup Academy, customized consulting for tourism enterprises, Incheon tourism talent development academy, and one-person local creator training programs.
Additionally, the center will implement the 'Industry-Academia Linked Incheon Tourism Job Internship Support Project,' which selects university students majoring in tourism-related fields from local universities and supports them to work in companies in the Incheon tourism sector.
