Haman-gun Cracks Down on Illegal Operations of Employment Agencies "Don't Move"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Haman County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 7th that it has secured a list of unregistered employment agencies and requested an investigation from the Haman Police Station, while also planning to conduct joint intensive crackdowns on these agencies until the end of the year.
This crackdown was prepared in response to complaints that unregistered employment agencies from nearby urban areas such as Changwon City are operating actively within Haman County.
According to the complaints, due to the prohibition of gatherings at high-risk facilities in nearby cities such as Changwon and Miryang caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), entertainment bars have ceased operations, leading unregistered employment agencies to bring workers into Haman County and introduce entertainment bar employees to local entertainment establishments.
Currently, there are 32 registered employment agencies in the county: 13 in Gaya-eup, 6 in Gunbuk-myeon, and 6 in Chilwon-eup.
