Korean 'COVID-19 Measurement Method' Established as International Standard
[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] The Korea Nano Technology Institute announced on the 7th that its independently developed "Characteristics and Measurement Methods of Nano-Object Assembly Layers for Electrochemical Biosensing Applications" has been established as an international standard by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
The nano-object assembly layer is a nanomaterial variably assembled on the surface of electrochemical electrodes to measure fluids containing biological samples in electrochemical biosensors. It is applied to biosensors that detect pathogens such as the COVID-19 virus, enhancing the sensitivity of the sensors.
This technology has been widely used recently in the field of nanobio sensors, such as COVID-19 diagnostic technologies, and standardization of specifications was urgently needed for smooth product development and market expansion.
