COVID-19 Confirmed in Resident of Segok-dong, Gangnam-gu During Self-Quarantine
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 6th, one additional COVID-19 case was confirmed in Gangnam-gu.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Gangnam-gu to 213.
A resident of Segok-dong, who had been self-quarantining after contact with a confirmed case from another region, tested positive in the morning after exhibiting symptoms such as cough and headache at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center.
Since the individual was in self-quarantine, there were no movements within the area except at their residence.
Domestic daily new cases have remained in the 100s for four consecutive days since the 3rd, showing a relatively clear decline; however, the proportion of cases with unknown infection routes exceeds 20%, indicating that the risk of sporadic infections remains.
