Gwangyang-si Recruiting Companies for '2020 Excellent Job Creation Certification'
Applications open until the 15th, Incentives including 20 Million Won for Employment Environment Improvement Fund Provided
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City announced on the 4th that it is recruiting companies eligible for the ‘2020 Excellent Job Creation Company Certification,’ which provides various incentives to outstanding companies that contribute to job creation and employment stability.
The application targets are companies located in Jeollanam-do that have been operating normally for more than two years, categorized as follows: △ companies with 300 or more employees (with a job growth rate of 5% or more in the past year) △ companies with 50 to less than 300 employees (with a job growth rate of 5% or more in the past year and an increase of 5 or more employees) △ companies with fewer than 50 employees (with an increase of 3 or more employees in the past year), and support companies will be selected accordingly.
The eligible industries include manufacturing, manufacturing-related services, knowledge service industries, and industries related to regional representative industries.
Certified companies will be selected through document screening and on-site inspections. Companies wishing to apply must submit their applications by mail or visit the Investment and Job Creation Division of Gwangyang City Hall by the 15th.
The results are scheduled to be announced in November, and detailed information can be found in the notices on the Gwangyang City website.
Selected companies will receive a certificate of employment excellence and 20 million KRW per company for employment environment improvement funds. Various administrative and financial incentives will be provided, including preferential loan limits for facility funds and operating funds, and priority support for Jeonnam youth retention incentives.
Moon Byung-joo, head of the Investment and Job Creation Division, said, “We will actively promote to local companies so that incentives provided to companies can stimulate private sector employment and revitalize the local economy,” and added, “We hope for the active interest and participation of local companies.”
Meanwhile, Jeollanam-do has enacted the ‘Jeollanam-do Ordinance on Certification and Support for Excellent Job Creation Companies’ to foster an atmosphere of employment retention and job expansion, selecting and supporting excellent employment companies annually since 2015.
