KEIT and IITP Join Forces for Korea New Deal
MOU Signed to Establish R&D Collaboration System Between ICT and Industrial Technology

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT) announced on the 4th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) to link and cooperate on ICT and industrial technology convergence R&D projects.
This MOU was promoted to share New Deal-related issues between IITP and KEIT's industrial technology R&D projects and to establish a mutual cooperation system to ensure the smooth implementation of the Korean New Deal project.
To this end, the two organizations plan to continuously secure R&D outcomes through the linkage of ICT and industrial technology R&D projects by ▲ discovering convergence projects and tasks between ICT R&D and industrial technology R&D ▲ sharing infrastructure and personnel exchange ▲ preparing institutional and regulatory improvement measures for promoting the Korean New Deal.

Jung Yangho, President of KEIT, said, “The signing of the KEIT-IITP MOU will be the starting point for full-scale convergence R&D,” adding, “We will strive to ensure that the active promotion of industrial technology R&D related to the Digital New Deal leads to tangible results.”
