Naver Data Center 'Gak Sejong', Master Plan Review Completed
Securing World-Class Infrastructure through the Establishment of Each Sejong
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Naver announced on the 4th that it has completed the master plan review for 'Gak Sejong,' the Naver data center to be built in Sejong City.
The first building area of Gak Sejong, designed on a 293,697㎡ site, is approximately 40,594㎡, including server and operational support facilities. Full-scale site development is scheduled to begin in October. Naver transparently selected the Gak Sejong design team through an international competition last year and started the design process in March, with a total schedule of 16 months.
Under the management philosophy of carefully preserving and passing on our digital cultural heritage to future generations, Naver established the data center 'Gak Chuncheon' in 2014. With the rapid increase in users' data, Naver is now promoting the establishment of Gak Sejong. Gak Sejong has adopted the slogans 'Being with data' and 'Form Follows Function,' and will focus on green tech features that coexist with nature.
