[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] On the 3rd, Gwangju City announced that it has filed a complaint against a COVID-19 confirmed patient who participated in the Gwanghwamun rally and concealed their movement route, on charges of violating the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
The 40-year-old Mr. A, the 252nd confirmed case in the region, initially stated during the epidemiological investigation that he had visited a water play facility in Naju, Jeollanam-do. However, additional investigations including GPS tracking revealed that he had attended a rally held in downtown Seoul on the 15th of last month.

Additionally, Gwangju City filed complaints against seven individuals classified as attendees of the Gwanghwamun rally, including family members of the 236th to 238th confirmed cases (Wolsan-dong, Nam-gu), who claimed to have visited Baeksu Coastal Road in Yeonggwang, Jeollanam-do, but either did not respond to contact from quarantine authorities or refused to undergo testing.
