View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] On Thursday the 3rd, heavy rain will pour nationwide as the country falls under the influence of Typhoon Maysak (MYSAK), the 9th typhoon of the season.
The expected rainfall near the typhoon's path includes 100 to 300 mm in Gangwon Yeongdong, the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, eastern Jeolla, Jeju Island, and Ulleungdo·Dokdo.
Especially in Gangwon Yeongdong, the eastern coast of Gyeongsang, and the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, heavy rain exceeding 400 mm is expected.
Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong Province (except southern Chungnam), Jeonnam (except eastern part), and Gyeongbuk (except eastern coast) will receive 100 to 200 mm of rain, while southern Chungnam, Jeonbuk (except eastern part), and the five western islands will see 50 to 150 mm of rain.
The typhoon is expected to pass the coast of Gyeongnam around 1 a.m. and move into the East Sea by morning.
Morning low temperatures by region are expected to be △Seoul 21°C △Chuncheon 21°C △Gangneung 25°C △Daejeon 23°C △Cheongju 23°C △Daegu 25°C △Busan 24°C △Jeonju 21°C △Gwangju 21°C △Jeju 24°C.
Daytime high temperatures are expected to be △Seoul 25°C △Chuncheon 25°C △Gangneung 27°C △Daejeon 27°C △Cheongju 28°C △Daegu 30°C △Busan 28°C △Jeonju 28°C △Gwangju 28°C △Jeju 29°C.
Fine dust levels will be at 'Good' levels across all regions.
