Suncheon-si, 3 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases During Self-Quarantine
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Three new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do.
According to Suncheon City on the 2nd, all three individuals tested positive during retesting conducted just before their quarantine release.
Including the three new confirmed cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Suncheon City has reached 67. As of the previous day, one person had recovered, and 63 were undergoing treatment, with 56 hospitalized at Suncheon Medical Center and 4 at Gangjin Medical Center. Three patients with underlying conditions receiving treatment at Jeonnam National University Hospital and Chosun University Hospital are currently in much improved condition.
On the 1st, the city collected 587 specimens in one day, bringing the cumulative number of tests conducted to 21,954. Of these, 21,303 tested negative, and 587 tests are still in progress.
The city reported that among 1,651 individuals under self-quarantine, three persons who violated quarantine on the 1st will be subject to legal action.

Meanwhile, the three new confirmed cases have been classified as case 65 (resident of Sangsa-myeon, female in her 50s), case 66 (resident of Namjeong-dong, female in her 20s), and case 67 (resident of Yeonhyang-dong, female in her 50s). Among them, case 66 was a contact of case 15, and case 67 was a contact of case 8 and was under self-quarantine.
