Forest Service Announces Open Recruitment for Senior Executive Positions Including Director of the National Arboretum
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Forest Service announced on the 2nd that it is jointly recruiting for two senior executive positions, including the Director of the National Arboretum and the Head of the Forest Genetic Resources Research Department at the National Institute of Forest Science, in collaboration with the Central Selection Examination Committee of the Ministry of Personnel Management.
The Director of the National Arboretum is the head of the national forest biology research institution, responsible for overseeing research tasks related to the investigation, collection, propagation, conservation, and resource utilization of domestic forest biological species.
Applications are open to both public officials and civilians, and the initial appointment period as a term-limited public official is three years. However, if a current public official is appointed, the term is limited to two years, with the possibility of extending the term within five years based on performance evaluations during the tenure.
The Head of the Forest Genetic Resources Research Department at the National Institute of Forest Science is responsible for promoting the conservation of forest genetic resources and the development of high value-added forest resources using biotechnology. This position is designated as a career-open position among open positions, and only civilians are eligible to apply.
The initial appointment period is three years as a term-limited public official, with the possibility of extending the term within five years based on performance evaluations.
