Japan Reports 629 New COVID-19 Cases... Below 1,000 for 11 Consecutive Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] The number of new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in Japan has remained below 1,000 for the 11th consecutive day.
According to the Japanese public broadcaster NHK, as of 8:30 PM on the 1st, the number of new COVID-19 cases in Japan was 629. Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Japan increased to 69,864 as of that date.
Since recording 1,034 cases on the 21st of last month, the daily number of new cases has remained below 1,000.
By prefecture, the capital Tokyo-to reported 170 new cases, Osaka-fu 114, Kanagawa-ken 59, and Saitama-ken 46 new confirmed cases.
