Yeonggwang-gun Delivers 'Health Package' to Overcome COVID-19
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 1st that from the 31st of last month until the 11th, they are delivering health kits to 445 dementia case management subjects at the Dementia Safety Center to overcome COVID-19.
Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, dementia shelters and program operations have been suspended, and to minimize care gaps caused by refraining from going out, the Dementia Safety Center is checking the health status of elderly dementia patients through 1:1 home visits while complying with quarantine rules.
Also, to provide small happiness to dementia patients and their caregivers, they are distributing eight types of health kits including patches and anti-slip mats, and providing guidance on dementia prevention rules and medication methods.
For COVID-19 prevention, education on refraining from going out and psychological quarantine counseling to relieve depression are also being conducted.

Governor Kim Junsung said, “We will take the lead in creating a safe Yeonggwang from dementia by promoting social contact and interaction among dementia patients to relieve feelings of isolation and prevent loneliness, as well as reducing the caregiving burden on families and providing rest,” and added, “We ask for continuous interest in dementia.”
