[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] BNP Paribas Cardif Life announced on the 1st that it has appointed Oh Jun-seok (56), Executive Director in charge of New Business Development and Strategy at BNP Paribas Cardif Life, as the new CEO and President. The official term begins on September 1.
BNP Paribas Cardif Life is a Korean life insurance corporation under BNP Paribas Cardif, the global insurance subsidiary of the BNP Paribas Group.
New CEO Oh Jun-seok has extensive experience in various financial services, regulations, and consulting fields in both Korea and the United States. Since joining BNP Paribas Cardif Life in August 2017, he has served as the head of new business development and strategy, contributing to business strategy formulation, profitability improvement, product development oversight, and expanding BNP Paribas Cardif Life's sales network. Prior to joining BNP Paribas Cardif Life, he served as the head of the Korean branch of Genworth, a U.S.-based mortgage insurance specialist company, for 14 years.
