Police Agency Headquarters Staff Confirmed with COVID-19... "10th Floor Access Restricted"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] A staff member at the National Police Agency headquarters tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), leading to the closure of some floors in the building. This is the third confirmed case at the headquarters.
According to the National Police Agency on the 1st, one employee from the Intelligence Bureau working on the 10th floor of the police headquarters building in Migeun-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, tested positive for COVID-19.
The National Police Agency restricted access to the 10th floor where the officer worked and initiated emergency disinfection and other quarantine measures. Additionally, employees working on that floor were instructed to self-isolate.
This is the first confirmed COVID-19 case at the National Police Agency headquarters in ten days. Previously, on the 21st of last month, one employee working on the 13th floor of the headquarters tested positive, followed by another employee from the same office also testing positive.

Meanwhile, since August, including police officers who responded to the Gwanghwamun rally on Liberation Day, a total of 19 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed within the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, with three discharged as of the previous day.
