Comedian Kim Jeong-ryeol Caught Drunk Driving Again, 'License Cancellation Level'
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] Comedian Kim Jeongryeol was caught by the police while driving under the influence.
The Hwaseong Western Police Station in Gyeonggi announced on the 31st that Kim was booked without detention on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
Kim is accused of driving a Carnival in a heavily intoxicated state on a road in Hwaseong around 1:30 PM on the 30th of last month.
The police reportedly responded to a report from a citizen who suspected drunk driving.
At the time, Kim's blood alcohol concentration was 0.275%, which is above the license cancellation level (0.08%).
Previously, in 2007, Kim was also caught driving a passenger car in a heavily intoxicated state with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.257% on a road in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

Kim debuted in 1981 through the MBC Munhwa Broadcasting Gag Contest and gained popularity by appearing in comedy programs such as "Utsumyeon Bokiwayo" and "Cheongchun Manmanse."
