Goheung-gun Restricts Civilian Access to Government Buildings to Prevent COVID-19 Spread
Establishing a Strengthened Proactive Quarantine System
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Chunsu Kim] To proactively respond to the recent large-scale spread of COVID-19 and prevent further transmission, Goheung-gun has established an enhanced preemptive quarantine system that restricts the entry of outsiders into the government office building.
According to Goheung-gun on the 31st, from this day until the social distancing level is lowered to Level 1, access for visitors to all departments from the 2nd to the 6th floors, except for the civil service office on the 1st floor of the county office building, has been restricted.
To facilitate this, the civil servants responsible for the respective civil complaints will move to a separate consultation desk set up in the lobby on the 1st floor to handle the complaints.
To strengthen quarantine measures in the government building, the county has installed two 'air shower sterilizers' and two 'thermal detection cameras' at the building entrances to do its utmost in managing the quarantine of entrants and preventing the inflow of COVID-19 into the building.
Additionally, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, civil servants have been instructed to ▲ always wear masks ▲ utilize flexible and remote work ▲ refrain from unnecessary and non-urgent business trips outside the county.
County Governor Song Guigeun emphasized, "If civil servants become infected with COVID-19, not only will administration be paralyzed, but it will also cause significant harm to the residents," urging strict adherence to COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
He also asked the residents, "Although the restriction on entering the county office building may cause inconvenience, please understand that this is an unavoidable measure to prevent COVID-19, and we ask you to thoroughly practice personal quarantine."
