GC MS Receives Export Approval for '10-Minute COVID-19 Diagnostic Kit'
[Asia Economy, reporter Cho Hyun] GC MS announced on August 31 that it had received export approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety on August 28 for its point-of-care testing (POCT) antigen diagnostic kit for COVID-19, ‘GENEDIA W COVID-19 Ag’.
This product is an antigen diagnostic kit that uses antigen-antibody binding reactions to diagnose COVID-19 infection on-site within 10 minutes. Using nasopharyngeal and sputum samples, it allows for visual confirmation of early-stage COVID-19 infection without any additional equipment.
With this approval, GC MS can now export a total of five products: two types of antibody diagnostic kits, two types of molecular diagnostic kits, and now an antigen diagnostic kit.
