Gwangju Dong-gu Wins Grand Prize at the 2020 Korea Urban Regeneration Symposium
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 31st that it was selected as an excellent basic local government for urban regeneration at the '2020 Korea Urban Regeneration Symposium' and received the grand prize.
The symposium, held on the 21st at Cheongju City Cultural Manufacturing Plant, was organized to select major cases and stakeholders for realizing the ideology of the Urban Regeneration New Deal and settling regional regeneration.
Dong-gu received high evaluations in ▲urban regeneration system establishment and operation ▲regional revitalization ▲resident participation and community sectors.
Last year, Dong-gu was also selected as an excellent city at the '2019 Korea Urban Regeneration Symposium.'
