Positive Test Result One Day Before End of Self-Quarantine
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] A woman in her 20s who had tested negative after contact with Jeonbuk case number 54 (Gunsan case number 14) tested positive for COVID-19 one day before the end of her self-quarantine.
On the 31st, the Jeonbuk provincial health authorities announced that Ms. A, who was notified of a negative result on the 22nd as a contact of case number 54, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 the previous day and classified as Jeonbuk case number 87.
Ms. A, who resides in Muju, visited a store in Gunsan on the 17th, and her movement overlapped with Jeonbuk case number 54 (Gunsan case number 14).
Accordingly, on the morning of the 21st at 10:30 a.m., as a contact of Jeonbuk case number 54, a specimen was collected at the Muju County Health Medical Center, and on the next day, the 22nd, at 6:40 a.m., she was notified of a negative result (Seegene) and remained in self-quarantine.
Later, on the 30th, one day before the end of her self-quarantine, she developed a sore throat symptom and was tested again at Muju County Health Medical Center at 10:30 a.m., receiving a positive COVID-19 diagnosis around 8 p.m.
