The Only Ramen with Tofu... Nongshim Launches Shin Ramyun Black Bowl Tofu Kimchi

Shin Ramyun Black Bowl Tofu Kimchi is a product released in response to the increasing number of consumers eating ramen as a meal replacement amid the spread of COVID-19. Nongshim has richly included tofu and kimchi in Shin Ramyun Black so that consumers can enjoy a more delicious and healthy meal.
In particular, it differentiates itself from other ramen products by adding soft-textured tofu chunks that cannot be found elsewhere. Nongshim developed tofu that is chewy on the outside yet tender and soft when bitten, inspired by the fact that tofu is an essential ingredient in kimchi stew. The tofu chunks, together with the crunchy kimchi, allow you to fully enjoy the authentic taste of tofu kimchi stew in your mouth.
A Nongshim official explained, “We came up with Shin Ramyun Black Bowl Tofu Kimchi as a sufficient meal based on the common practice of adding tofu and ramen noodles together in kimchi stew,” adding, “It is a product that allows you to conveniently cook and enjoy the taste of tofu kimchi stew.”
Nongshim investigated the preferred ripeness of kimchi in kimchi stew among Koreans and, based on this, created Shin Ramyun Black Bowl Tofu Kimchi that embodies the spicy yet refreshing flavor of kimchi stew. Overall, Shin Ramyun Black, which has a deep and savory taste from pork bone broth, is praised for enhancing the rich and deep soup flavor unique to kimchi stew.
Additionally, Nongshim upgraded the taste by making Shin Ramyun Black Bowl Tofu Kimchi microwaveable. Just as kimchi stew needs to be boiled at a high temperature to bring out its flavor properly, cooking it at high heat in the microwave enhances the deep taste of the stew. The noodles also gain a chewy texture as if cooked in boiling water. Shin Ramyun Black Bowl Tofu Kimchi is ready by pouring hot water and microwaving it for 2 minutes at 1000W.
