Homeplus Closes Headquarters Building Due to Employee COVID-19 Confirmation
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Homeplus announced on the 28th that it has closed its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, after an employee working there was confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The employee showed no suspicious symptoms but was contacted by health authorities the previous day, informing them that they needed to get tested after staying for more than 30 minutes near Gwanghwamun. Following the test, the employee was confirmed positive on the same day.
The employee had a meal on the 15th in Seochon, Jongno-gu, Seoul, near Gwanghwamun. They then took leave from the 16th to the 19th, worked at the headquarters on the 20th and 21st, and went on leave again from the 22nd to the 27th.
