Hanwha Systems Signs MOU with KAIST for AI Research Collaboration and Talent Development
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hanwha Systems has partnered with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) to collaborate on artificial intelligence (AI) research and talent development.
Hanwha Systems announced on the 28th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the KAIST Graduate School of AI for "AI Research Collaboration and Talent Development."
Hanwha Systems and KAIST plan to identify AI research projects and jointly conduct verification projects for Hanwha Systems' AI brand, the 'HAiQV' platform and solutions.
Over the next three years, Hanwha Systems will support KAIST with all aspects of research execution as well as AI platforms and solutions, and will give preferential treatment to KAIST Graduate School of AI students for internships and recruitment.
The KAIST Graduate School of AI will also utilize Hanwha Systems' AI platforms and solutions in its research, share the results, and collaborate on nurturing specialized talent.
Kim Yeon-cheol, CEO of Hanwha Systems, stated, "Through this industry-academia cooperation, Hanwha Systems aims to recruit outstanding AI talent and build an expert network to enhance future growth engines and technological capabilities. The two institutions, equipped with innovative capabilities, plan to advance practical AI research through collaboration and focus on securing leadership in related technologies."
