LG Uplus Conducts SNS Campaign for Stray Animal Protection
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] LG Uplus is conducting a customer participation donation campaign throughout September, where 100g of pet food is donated for each comment containing opinions or hashtags related to improving awareness of abandoned animals on social media, to support the protection of abandoned animals.
On LG Uplus's official Facebook and Instagram accounts, users can write comments with hashtags such as ‘#BuyDontAdopt’, ‘#PuppyGram’, and ‘#DangdangiGram’ on the 'Abandoned Animal Awareness Improvement Campaign' posts from September 1 to 30. Pet food will be accumulated based on the comments, with a maximum donation of 500kg of pet food.

LG Uplus explained that this SNS campaign was planned to contribute to the development of a mature pet culture while allowing customers to easily participate in donations. An LG Uplus representative said, “We planned an SNS campaign where people can participate by commenting on social media, reflect on the issue of abandoned animals, and simultaneously donate pet food,” adding, “We plan to carry out various CSR campaigns that help social issues by linking with our services such as 5G and smart home.”
