Grievances and Complaints, Yangsan City Ombudsman Will Resolve Them for You
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Yangsan City in Gyeongnam announced on the 27th that it has been operating the Yangsan City Ombudsman (Citizen Grievance Handling Committee) since January 2016 to resolve citizens' grievances and complaints.
The city established the "Ordinance on the Composition and Operation of the Ombudsman" in July 2015 and has been operating the 2nd term Ombudsman, composed of former public officials, urban planning engineers, and architects, since March 2020, following the 1st term Ombudsman in January 2016.
The complaints eligible for Ombudsman application include any illegal, unfair, or passive dispositions by Yangsan City and its affiliated institutions, corporations, organizations, or agencies authorized by the city, as well as any unreasonable administrative systems that infringe on citizens' rights or cause inconvenience or burden to citizens.
Complaints can be submitted through the city’s website (Communication?Participation - Grievance Complaint Ombudsman Reporting Center), by visiting in person (Yangsan City Hall Audit Officer's Office, Integrity and Ethics Team), by mail, or by fax.
