These houses will be built in Sejong 4-2 Living Zone M2 Block (Jiphyeon-dong) to provide a stable residential environment for industrial complex workers. Applications for subscription will be available from the 7th of next month.
According to Sejong City on the 27th, Happy Housing is an industrial complex-type linked to jobs, allowing industrial complex workers and young people to move in at affordable rents. The monthly rent is expected to be set at around 80,000 KRW for a 21㎡ exclusive area (based on a deposit of 20 million KRW).
In particular, the 4-2 Living Zone M2 Block is evaluated to have high transportation and living convenience as there is a BRT stop circulating the city nearby and commercial facilities are planned to be developed.
Thanks to this, the city expects strong interest from companies and workers located in nearby industrial complexes such as Sejong Tech Valley (Urban High-tech Industrial Complex), Myeonghak General Industrial Complex, Bugang General Industrial Complex, Buyong Agricultural and Industrial Complex, Eungam Agricultural and Industrial Complex, and Jochiwon General Industrial Complex.
The supply volume by exclusive area is composed of ▲21㎡ 480 units ▲26㎡ 660 units ▲36㎡ 252 units ▲44㎡ 108 units.
Applicants eligible for subscription include members of households without homes who meet certain income and asset requirements, and workers at companies or educational and research institutions located or planned to be located in industrial complexes in Sejong City and adjacent areas such as Daejeon, Cheongju, Cheonan, and Gongju.
Additionally, employees of small and medium-sized enterprises located or planned to be located in the economic free zone in the same area are eligible for priority supply, and applications can be made by the respective companies.
Furthermore, industrial complex workers, university students, youth aged 19 to 39, newlyweds, single-parent families, and elderly groups are eligible for general supply and can apply individually.
The city emphasizes that if workers of small and medium-sized enterprises located in local industrial complexes meet certain requirements, they can receive support for 80% of the monthly rent, which can also reduce companies' dormitory rental costs to improve employees' housing conditions.
The subscription application period is from the 7th to the 11th of next month.
