On the 27th (Korean time), at the Charles Schwab Series at Ozarks National (total prize money $3 million) held at Ozarks National in Ridgedale, Missouri, USA (par 71, 7,036 yards), he recorded 1 eagle, 5 birdies, and 2 bogeys in the final 3rd round. He maintained the lead throughout the three days for a wire-to-wire victory (22 under par, 191 strokes). The winner's prize was $450,000 (530 million KRW).
He became the 20th player in Champions Tour history to win in his debut. The most recent case was Jim Furyk (USA) at the Ally Challenge earlier this month. Mickelson, a 44-time PGA Tour winner, said, "It was enjoyable to meet old colleagues here again," and "I'm happy to have started well on the Champions Tour." The Champions Tour is a stage where players aged 50 and over compete. Born in June 1970, this was Mickelson's first time participating in the tournament.

Although he focused on the PGA Tour, which has no age limit, he failed to advance to the second playoff (PO) BMW Championship and thus participated to prepare for the US Open starting next month. Mickelson will return to the regular tour. He will compete in the season opener Safeway Open on September 10, 2020/2021 season. Team Petrovic (USA) finished 2nd (18 under par, 195 strokes), and K.J. Choi (50, SK Telecom) tied for 7th place (13 under par, 200 strokes). This is his third appearance on the Champions Tour and his first top 10 finish.
