50 Public Rental Housing Units Near Children's Grand Park in Transit-Oriented Area
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Fifty units of public rental housing will be built near Children's Grand Park in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
On the 26th, Seoul City held an Urban and Architectural Joint Committee meeting and announced on the 28th that it had approved with modifications the designation of a district unit planning zone and the planning decision for the construction of public rental housing in the area of 489 Hwayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, near the station.
The site is located in the station area of Children's Grand Park Station on Subway Line 7, and according to the 'Standards for Construction and Operation of Station Area Public Rental Housing,' it is an area where old and deteriorated buildings are densely concentrated, requiring improvement of poor residential conditions.
Through the designation of the district unit planning zone, a multi-family residential complex with 582 units (including 50 public rental housing units) will be constructed on the 19,694㎡ site, consisting of 3 basement floors and 29 above-ground floors.
