Mayor Moon Seok-jin held a countermeasure meeting in the district office planning situation room in the afternoon to check the status of departmental measures in preparation for strong winds and heavy rain.
To prepare for safety accidents that may occur due to the typhoon, Seodaemun-gu has preemptively completed ▲repair of 201 road potholes ▲securing 8 tower cranes installed in the area ▲fixing protective barriers at 72 private and 7 public construction sites ▲inspection of pump facilities at 2 underground walkways in the area ▲temporary closure of 15 bicycle racks at risk of damage ▲inspection of 51 religious facilities with spires.
Following the Level 2 emergency alert at 6 PM, the district plans to restrict access to popular spots such as Ansan Jarak-gil and Hongjecheon walking trails.
Mayor Moon urged citizens via the neighborhood community bands to refrain from taking out garbage the day before the typhoon and asked employees to frequently inspect rainwater drains and remove obstacles such as temporary covers to ensure smooth drainage and safety.
