[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongbuk Province announced that Governor Lee Cheol-woo discussed major provincial issues and win-win cooperation plans with Jang Se-ho, chairman of the Democratic Party provincial assembly members, who visited the provincial office on the 26th.

Governor Lee Cheol-woo said, "After four years of sweat and tears, the long-cherished wish of all residents was dramatically realized with the successful attraction of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Integrated New Airport," and requested, "I ask the ruling party and government to take an interest and actively assist so that the preliminary feasibility study for the new airport railway can be exempted."
He added, "The strength and united energy shown by the citizens of Daegu and Gyeongbuk during the new airport attraction process must be realized through the administrative integration of Daegu and Gyeongbuk."
