Seoul City and 11st Help Farms in 38 Special Disaster Areas Nationwide Affected by Floods
Sale of Over 100 Agricultural and Specialty Products Produced in Jeonnam Gokseong and Gangwon Cheorwon by September 13
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 27th that it will hold a "Special Disaster Area Win-Win Planning Exhibition" for 18 days until the 13th of next month in collaboration with the online open market 11st to support the sales of agricultural specialty products from flood-affected farms nationwide.
They will sell over 100 excellent agricultural specialty products such as new sweet potatoes, king oyster mushrooms, paprika, and new onions produced in 38 government-designated disaster areas from the 1st to 3rd phases, including Anseong and Icheon in Gyeonggi Province, Cheorwon in Gangwon Province, Chungju in Chungbuk Province, Asan in Chungnam Province, Namwon in Jeonbuk Province, Naju and Yeonggwang in Jeonnam Province, Buk-gu in Gwangju, and Sancheong in Gyeongnam Province.
Since February this year, the city has been actively supporting online sales channels for excellent local agricultural specialty products together with 11st through the "Win-Win Store," a rural-urban exchange space that applies low commissions to producers and provides safe food to consumers.
In this planning exhibition, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and NH Nonghyup Card will participate and conduct special promotions such as up to 20% discounts. Seoul explained that this is an opportunity for consumers to purchase high-quality agricultural and livestock products at reasonable prices while helping farms in difficult regions.
