According to the Mokpo Coast Guard on the 25th, at around 1:43 PM, elementary school student A (7) was swept away by seawater while playing in the sea in front of Noeul Park at Bukhang, Mokpo-si, Jeollanam-do.
A's older brother B (10) jumped into the sea to save his younger brother but was also swept away by the seawater.
The Mokpo Coast Guard officers, who responded to a passerby's report, quickly jumped into the sea and rescued the brothers.
At the time of rescue, A had no consciousness, pulse, or breathing, but after CPR by the officers, he somewhat regained consciousness and pulse and was transported to the hospital.
B's health condition was reported to be good.

The coast guard is investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, believing that the brothers approached the sea through a side path and were playing in the water with two friends from the same elementary school when the accident occurred.
