40s Woman Kills Lover in Motel... Police Plan to Request Arrest Warrant
Called 112 Immediately After the Crime to Surrender
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A woman in her 40s who killed a man with whom she was having an affair was arrested by the police.
Seoul Gwanak Police Station announced on the 26th that they had urgently detained a woman in her 40s, identified as Ms. A, on suspicion of murder the previous day.
According to the police, Ms. A is suspected of killing a man in his 60s, Mr. B, at a motel in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, around 6:30 p.m. the previous day.
It is reported that Ms. A called the police around 10 p.m., after the incident, and confessed to the crime.
The police found the victim's body at the crime scene and, through location tracking, arrested Ms. A near Bongnimgyo in Gwanak-gu.

A police official stated, "Although she surrendered, due to the seriousness of the crime and the risk of flight, she was urgently detained," adding, "We plan to apply for an arrest warrant within today."
