Hong Nam-ki: "At This Stage, the 4th Supplementary Budget Is Judged to Be Premature"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Hong Nam-ki, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, stated on the 25th, "At this stage, it is too premature to determine that the formulation of the 4th supplementary budget (supplementary budget) is necessary."
Deputy Prime Minister Hong made this remark during a session of the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts in response to a question from Lee Jong-bae, a member of the United Future Party, who insisted that the 4th supplementary budget should be prioritized.
Hong said, "More than 9 trillion won of the 3rd supplementary budget has not yet been spent, and an additional 2.2 trillion won for the emergency employment stabilization subsidy is also being disbursed," emphasizing, "Securing funds unconditionally is not the solution."
