Hahm Shin-ik and Symphony Song Masters Series... Violinist Kim Dami Collaboration
[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] Shin-ik Ham and the Symphony Song Orchestra will perform the Masters Series 'Beethoven and His Descendants' at Lotte Concert Hall on the 27th.
Shin-ik Ham and the Symphony Song Orchestra will present Ravel's "Le Tombeau de Couperin," noted for its delicate and romantic atmosphere and intricate orchestration; Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, which is characterized by its softness and boldness among his nine symphonies; and Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, showcasing the essence of German Romantic music. Violinist Dami Kim will be featured as a soloist.
Dami Kim won the Joachim International Violin Competition in Hanover, Germany, and has placed in prestigious international competitions such as the Paganini International Competition and the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium. She has already collaborated several times with Symphony Song. Artistic Director Shin-ik Ham stated, "Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto is one of the most accessible pieces to listen to, but it is very difficult to perform."

The Symphony Song Secretariat announced that, to prevent infection and spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the performance program has been modified, and the number of performers minimized to practice social distancing not only in the audience seats but also on stage, conducting the concert under thorough quarantine measures.
