Gwangju Dong-gu Provides Free Tax Consultation with Village Tax Accountants
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 25th that it has appointed village tax accountants to provide free tax consultations for residents who find it difficult to use tax accountants due to lack of legal knowledge and economic circumstances.
Since June 2016, Dong-gu has appointed a total of seven village tax accountants and has been providing free tax consultation services on national and local taxes. Recently, consultations have been continuously promoted for vulnerable groups facing economic difficulties due to COVID-19, small business owners, and traditional market merchants.
In particular, Dong-gu is actively responding to numerous inquiries related to real estate capital gains tax due to active urban development and redevelopment projects by linking with village tax accountants to ensure sufficient consultation.
Residents who wish to receive free consultation from village tax accountants can contact the Tax Division 1 of Dong-gu Office or each dong administrative welfare center to consult with the respective village tax accountant.
Additionally, applications and initial consultations can be made via phone, fax, or email, and a second consultation can be conducted by visiting the tax accountant's office in person. However, preparation and filing of various reports are excluded.
Currently, to prevent infection due to COVID-19, non-face-to-face consultations such as phone, fax, or email are encouraged.
