134 New COVID-19 Cases in Seoul... 15 Confirmed Cluster Infections at Sunbogeum Gangbuk Church (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The number of new daily confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Seoul has once again exceeded 100. At the Full Gospel Gangbuk Church located in Dongdaemun-gu, 8 additional confirmed cases were reported within a single day.
Seoul City announced on the 24th that 134 new COVID-19 cases were added in one day, bringing the cumulative total of confirmed cases in Seoul to 3,120 as of midnight on the 25th.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul had remained above 100 for nine consecutive days since the 15th, but dropped to 97 as of midnight on the 24th (23rd), only to jump back above 100 in just one day.
Among the new confirmed cases, 5 were related to the Sarang Jeil Church in Seongbuk-gu, bringing the total number of confirmed cases linked to this church in Seoul to 533. One additional case related to the Gwanghwamun rally was reported, making the cumulative total 43 in Seoul. Notably, a new cluster infection occurred at the Full Gospel Gangbuk Church as well. On the 24th, 8 new cases were confirmed, bringing the total number of cases related to this church to 15.
Additionally, 1 new confirmed case was linked to Uri Jeil Church in Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, 1 to the theater group 'San', and 1 to a daycare center in Gangdong-gu.
There were 49 cases classified as 'others', and 60 cases are under investigation as their infection routes have not been identified.

Among all confirmed cases in the Seoul area, 1,671 patients have been treated and discharged so far, while 1,433 are currently in isolation.
