COVID-19 Case Confirmed at Asan Samsung Display Construction Site
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] A confirmed case of COVID-19 has occurred at the Samsung Display plant in Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, causing work to be halted at the construction site.
According to the industry on the 22nd, one employee of a Samsung C&T subcontractor who was performing electrical work related to equipment replacement on Line 8 of the factory tested positive for COVID-19.
The company sent all employees working on the construction home and closed the construction site.
Samsung Display is conducting disinfection work together with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and has temporarily closed the related construction site. The construction section where the confirmed case was found is located far from the display production line, so the main production line is operating normally, the company explained.
