Seocho-gu Promotes Musical Instrument Support Project for Culturally Marginalized Youth
In the Untact Era Due to COVID-19, Providing Opportunities for Culturally Marginalized Youth to Learn Instruments... Donating and Repairing Instruments for Sharing with Marginalized Youth
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu (Mayor Eunhee Jo) is promoting the 'Musical Instrument Support Project for Culturally Disadvantaged Youth,' which collects unused or broken musical instruments, repairs them, and provides them free of charge to culturally disadvantaged youth in the region.
The instruments eligible for donation include string instruments, woodwind instruments, and brass instruments (such as violin, clarinet, trumpet). Once donated, the instruments are repaired and maintained at facilities related to musical instruments located within the Seocho Music Culture District before being provided to youth.
Additionally, donation receipts will be issued to those who donate instruments.
Instrument donations can be applied for by phone or visit at the Seoripul Youth Art Center, the support center of the Seocho Music Culture District, and online applications are also available through a link on the Seocho Music Culture District website.
