Reserve Forces Training Canceled This Year... Switched to Non-Face-to-Face Remote Education
Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), this year's reserve forces mobilization training has been canceled and will be replaced with remote education.
On the 21st, the Ministry of National Defense announced, "The 2020 reserve forces mobilization training, which was scheduled to begin on September 1, will be conducted through non-face-to-face remote education, and all reserve forces training candidates will be considered to have completed the 2020 training."
The transition to remote education is a supplementary measure for not conducting the mobilization training. Some tasks will be conducted as voluntary participation remote education, and reserve forces who complete the remote education will have part of their 2021 reserve forces training hours credited.
The remote education is being prepared from November to December, consisting of combat skills tasks such as chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense and introductory education tasks on reserve forces service. Detailed plans will be separately announced to all reserve forces training candidates after the system is ready.
