View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City is recruiting companies to participate in supporting the costs of improving outdated environments for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The city will implement the 'SME Work Environment Improvement Project' starting from the 21st and is recruiting participating companies until September 4.
This project is in cooperation with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. After being selected in the Ministry's public contest in May, it was the first among local governments nationwide to start the project.
It is a project tailored to the standards of young job seekers who value a pleasant working environment. Priority support is given to local manufacturing SMEs that face the dual hardship of labor shortages due to lack of funds despite their willingness to improve the environment.
The project cost is co-invested 50-50 by national and city funds. The company's own contribution is separate.
Busan City urgently adjusted the project plan by increasing the city’s matching fund ratio by 10% to lower the self-payment ratio for local SMEs struggling due to COVID-19 from 10 million KRW to 5 million KRW.
The main project content supports the installation and repair costs of outdated convenience facilities (such as break rooms and shower rooms) for SMEs whose headquarters and main business sites are located in the city and whose main industry is manufacturing.
Through the announcement, 25 companies will be recruited and supported with 40 million KRW each (excluding VAT, with a separate self-payment of 5 million KRW).
Applications are accepted online through the Busan City Job Information Network from the 21st to September 4. For more details, inquiries can be made via the Busan Economic Promotion Agency website or the Industrial Complex Operation Center.
