LG Electronics Strengthens Win-Win with SMEs, Leads in 'Partner Technology Data Deposits'

On the 20th, LG Electronics announced that it supported the deposit of 211 cases of partner companies' technical data last year. This is the highest number of support cases among domestic large corporations.
The deposit of technical data is a system that reduces the risk of technology leakage by storing the core technologies of partner companies with the Foundation for Large and Small Enterprises and Agricultural and Fisheries Cooperation. Partners can invest in technology development with peace of mind, large corporations can stably supply high-quality parts, and even if a partner goes bankrupt or closes, the usage rights of the core technology are guaranteed.
Since 2013, LG Electronics has been fully supporting the costs required when partners deposit their technologies to protect their trade secrets and core technologies. Up to last year, a total of 1,088 cases of technical data deposits have been supported, and this year, more than 200 cases of technical data deposits are planned to be supported.
For major parts and processes jointly developed with partners, LG Electronics deposits all technologies with the consent of the partners and supports all requests for technology deposits from partners. Furthermore, LG Electronics continuously strives to expand the application of this system by sending newsletters to partners to inform them about the technical data deposit system.
Meanwhile, LG Electronics is implementing various support policies for win-win cooperation, such as consulting support for manufacturing innovation, interest-free and low-interest loans, new parts development support, and free education support, so that partners can incorporate various innovative technologies into overall management.
Based on this, the competitiveness of partners is strengthened, and as a result, LG Electronics' business competitiveness is enhanced, creating a virtuous cycle of a solid win-win partnership.
