Drunk Police Officer Riding Motorcycle Hits Pedestrian Passing by on Bicycle
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] An active police officer in Jeonnam region caused an accident by hitting a man in his 60s riding a bicycle while driving a motorcycle in a drunken state.
According to Hwasun Police Station in Jeonnam on the 19th, at around 9:30 PM on the 18th, Lieutenant A, belonging to a police substation of Hwasun Police Station, was driving a motorcycle after drinking alcohol on a road in Neungju-myeon and hit Mr. B, a man in his 60s riding a bicycle.
As a result of the accident, Mr. B injured his ankle and received hospital treatment.
Lieutenant A also fell while trying to avoid Mr. B, suffered a fracture, and is currently hospitalized for treatment.
It was investigated that Lieutenant A was in a state of intoxication with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the license cancellation level at the time of the accident.
