View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] It was confirmed on the 19th that a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) visited the COEX Aquarium in Gangnam, Seoul. The facility immediately closed temporarily and conducted disinfection.
According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA), the confirmed case who tested positive for COVID-19 visited the facility around 4 p.m. on the 16th.
Accordingly, the COEX Aquarium closed the exhibition facility and carried out disinfection work immediately around 11 a.m. on the 19th, upon receiving notification from the KDCA that a confirmed case had visited.
The aquarium stated that it is actively cooperating with the epidemiological investigation according to the guidelines of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters to prevent further spread of infection.
