Lotte Department Store and Outlet Share Love to Help Neighbors Affected by Flood Damage
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Lotte Department Store and Lotte Outlet in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas are carrying out various acts of love to help neighbors and vulnerable groups in regions affected by recent heavy rain floods.
On the 19th, according to Lotte Department Store and Lotte Outlet, Lotte Outlet Gwangju World Cup Branch (Store Manager Yang Nam-gyun) has been holding a charity bazaar at a special event space on the first floor since the 17th to help local flood-affected households.
During the three-day bazaar event, various products such as clothing and miscellaneous goods are sold at discounted prices, and a portion of the proceeds from this event will be used to create daily necessities kits to be provided to vulnerable groups affected by the flood damage.
Also, Lotte Outlet Gwangju Suwan Branch (Store Manager Lee Chung-yeol) visited Hwanggye Village and Ipseok Village in Bonryang-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, which suffered flood damage due to the heavy monsoon rains. They delivered emergency disaster relief supplies to the village senior centers for use by affected residents and helped with recovery efforts.
Lotte Outlet Namak Branch (Store Manager Kim Byung-il) is also continuously conducting mask donation events as part of their love-sharing activities.
On the 11th and 18th, they visited the Jeonnam Muan General Social Welfare Center and Mokpo Taehwa Orphanage, delivering 2,000 disposable masks each, which are essential during the COVID-19 era. The masks are used to assist local elderly and marginalized groups who have difficulty with activities.
