[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the morning of the 18th, Chaehyunil, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, saw off a relief supplies support vehicle in the front yard of the district office main building to help overcome the heavy rain damage in Chungju City, Chungbuk, a sister city.
The relief supplies were purchased in bulk through the Yeongdeungpo Market Merchants Association and consisted mainly of essential items worth about 4 million won, such as cup noodles, bottled water, and rice.
The relief supplies will be delivered to the Sanchuk-myeon Office and Eomjeong-myeon Office in Chungju City and will be provided to flood victims affected by the heavy rain.
