The scholarship selection targets 77 students in five categories: "Academic Excellence," "Arts and Physical Education Special Talent," "Good Deeds," and "Self-directed Dream Fulfillment" for elementary, middle, and high school students. Selected scholarship students will receive a total of approximately 117 million KRW in scholarships, ranging from 1 million to 1.7 million KRW per person depending on the category.

The number of recipients will be expanded compared to previous years, with a total of 40 scholarship students to be selected and supported.
The application period is from August 31 to September 4. Applicants must prepare the application form and category-specific documents and submit them in person or by mail to the Education Support Division on the 10th floor of Geumcheon-gu Office.
Park Joon-sik, Chairman of the Geumcheon Future Scholarship Foundation, said, "We are grateful to the residents who support the Future Scholarship Foundation despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that the scholarships are used meaningfully for students who will lead the future of Geumcheon-gu."
Since its establishment in November 2007, the Geumcheon Future Scholarship Foundation has been working to nurture local talent and promote educational development. Since 2008, it has awarded scholarships totaling 1.78 billion KRW to 1,309 students.
