KOSDAQ Plunges Over 4%... Breaks Below 800 Intraday

At 2:58 PM that day, the KOSDAQ index recorded 798.00, down 4.43% from the previous trading day. The index opened at 834.55, down 0.48 points (0.06%) from the previous day, and showed a steady downward trend.
In the market, individual investors net bought 317.4 billion KRW. On the other hand, foreigners and institutions net sold 120.5 billion KRW and 149.9 billion KRW, respectively.
Concerns over the resurgence of COVID-19 in South Korea appear to have weighed on the index. On that day, the Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that 246 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed as of midnight.
