NC·NHN Switch to Remote Work Amid COVID-19 Resurgence (Comprehensive)
NC "One Day of Remote Work This Week, Two Days Next Week"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Game companies are increasingly switching to remote work amid concerns over the resurgence of COVID-19.
On the 18th, NCSoft announced that it will operate a company-wide rotating remote work system to ensure employee safety in response to the spread of COVID-19. This week, employees will work remotely one day, and next week, two days. After the 31st, the company plans to decide again on the remote work system depending on the trend of COVID-19 spread.
NCSoft operates a fully flexible commuting system to reduce congestion during commuting hours and ease work density. Employees vulnerable to infectious diseases, such as pregnant women and those with underlying conditions, will be supported to work remotely.
NHN also decided to operate a remote work system until the 28th amid concerns over the resurgence of COVID-19.
NHN designated Mondays and Thursdays as "Collaboration Days" to allow flexible commuting for minimal work collaboration. Additionally, even during the remote work period, the company plans to implement enhanced building disinfection and infection prevention measures.
